General Guidelines for Abstract Submission
- Abstract submissions start on 26th June 2025.
- Last date for receipt of abstract is 31st July 2025.
- The presenting author should be a member of ASI.
- Not more than 2 papers or posters will be accepted from the same presenter.
- Only the presenting author should submit the abstract
- Submissions are accepted under multiple competitive and non-competitive categories.
- Single case reports will be accepted as posters only.
- Top three entries in competitive categories will receive Certificates of Merit.
- All presenters will receive a Certificate of Presentation from AP ASI.
- Abstract must not exceed 300 words.
- Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign the paper to any session it deems fit.
- Proof of Registration of the presenter in APASICON 2025 is a must for accepting any paper.
- There should be a covering letter with a declaration by the presenter that the work is carried out by him/her and the team, If any and has not been presented or published earlier.
- Covering letter should mention the category to which the presenter wishes the paper to be included and contain the ASI membership number of the Presenter.
- The abstract, covering letter with declaration, proof of registration, and proof of age for competitive categories shall be uploaded to the APASICON 2025 portal: www.apasicon2025.com.
Abstract Format
- Use Microsoft Word format with Times New Roman font.
- Title must be in ALL CAPITALS. Use font size 12, single spacing.
- Abstract must be under 300 words.
- Structure: AIMS & OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, CONCLUSION.
- Do not include placeholder comments like 'Results will be discussed'.
Guidelines for Poster Presentation
- All posters must be submitted in e-poster format.
- The presenting author must be an ASI member.
- Last date for abstract submission is July 31st, 2025.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English and structured as follows:
- Introduction / Background
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Single case reports may be submitted in poster format using the structure:
- Introduction
- Case Report
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- The abstract text must not exceed 300 words.
- Final selection of abstracts will be made by the Committee. Attempts to influence the review process will not be entertained.
- Rule of Two: A maximum of two abstracts (Paper/Poster combined) may be submitted by the same presenting author. Additional abstracts must name a co-author as the presenter.
- Only the corresponding author will be notified of acceptance or rejection and must inform co-authors accordingly.
- A poster preparation template will be emailed upon selection.
- Posters must not contain videos and should not exceed 5 MB in size.
- Certificates will be issued only upon successful Presentation of the e-poster onsite.
Dr. Laxman Prasad Best PG Paper
- ASI Membership is mandatory for the presenting author.
- Only Postgraduates in General Surgery are eligible.
- Last date for abstract submission is July 31st, 2025.
- Abstracts must be in English and structured as follows:
- Introduction / Background
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Only original research work is accepted.
- Single case reports and case series are not accepted in this category.
- Abstract must be within 300 words.
- Final selection will be made by the Committee. Attempts to influence the review process will not be entertained.
- Rule of One applies as per APASICON guidelines.
- Only the corresponding author will receive notification of acceptance/rejection.
- Date and time of presentation will be communicated later.
- Presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint format.
- Presentation duration: 7 minutes + 3 minutes for discussion.
- Title slide must contain only the title and name of the presenter.
- Institution or guide’s name must not appear anywhere in the presentation.
- Non-adherence to the above guidelines will lead to disqualification.
- Certificate will be issued only after oral presentation.
Vyageswarudu Award Paper
- ASI Membership is mandatory for the presenting author.
- Open to young surgeons below 40 years of age. Proof of age is required.
- Last date for abstract submission is July 31st, 2025.
- Abstracts must be in English and structured as follows:
- Introduction / Background
- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Only original research work is accepted.
- Single case reports and case series are not accepted in this category.
- Abstract must be within 300 words.
- Final selection will be made by the Committee. Attempts to influence the review process will not be entertained.
- Rule of One applies.
- Only the corresponding author will receive notification of acceptance/rejection.
- Date and time of presentation will be communicated later.
- Presentations must be in Microsoft PowerPoint format.
- Presentation duration: 7 minutes + 3 minutes for discussion.
- Title slide must contain only the title and assigned code number of the presenter.
- Institution or guide’s name must not appear anywhere in the presentation.
- Non-adherence to the above guidelines will lead to disqualification.

Free Paper
- ASI Membership is mandatory for the presenting author.
- Consultants and Postgraduates in General Surgery are eligible.
- Last date for abstract submission is July 31st, 2025.
- Abstracts must be in English and structured as follows:

- Materials & Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Only original research work is accepted.
- Single case reports and case series are not accepted in this category.

- Abstracts must be in English and structured
- Only original video is accepted.
- Abstract must be within 300 words.
- Final selection will be made by the Committee. Attempts to influence the review process will not be entertained.
- Only the corresponding author will receive notification of acceptance/rejection..
- Date and time of presentation will be communicated later.
- Presentations should be in MP4 format. The quality of video should be acceptable.
- Slides for title and case description can be added.
- Non-adherence to the above guidelines will lead to disqualification.
- Certificate will be issued only after physical presentation.
